Liking the opposite sex comment under your photo or reply to your story - Is this disrespectful or wrong to do this when you are in a relationship?

Is it wrong if I simply like a comment or reply from a guy instead of replying back to him if I have a boyfriend?

I am just being friendly/ polite and letting them know I seen it. However, my boyfriend seems to think I am 'giving them false hope and entertaining it'. He asked me to not like or reply to them on social media.

Is he right to feel this way or is it just being controlling/ insecure? What do you guys think? And how should I react to this?

Isn't social media about interacting with people and it should be the same even though you're in a relationship as long as there are boundaries and your intentions are known/ clear.

It depends on the photo. A lot of women are going to say he’s controlling or toxic. But here’s the thing, if it’s you in a bikini or some crop top w short shorts. Other men know what other men are thinking. So it sort of feels disrespectful from the other dude because he knows what the other dude is thinking. You may have not done it on purpose for attention, but there are certainly a lot of women out there who do post pics for attention. Now if it was you just flying a kite or something, ok nothing to appealing about that I’d think it’s fine. I hope that makes sense.

That’s stupid. If all you’re doing is replying to a comment such as if you reply to me. No there’s nothing wrong with that. What it depends on is what is said and the intentions behind it.

Yeah interacting with people on social media like on there. Having a conversation/ commenting - going back and forth hence “interacting with people”.
