ok well I’ll be honest. I do play hard to get because I don’t want guys to get the wrong impression. I don’t want them to think they can just slide cuz I don’t do that. I’ve been told that the right guy will persist if he likes you enough and that will be a sign that he wants something real. Has this gotten me anywhere? No. I’m in college and all guys wanna do is hookup. i get attention, but it’s the wrong attention. after observing hookup culture and just how feral men are, they kind of gross me out even though they are so hot. because most of them just view woman as a body with no soul. However, I am doing something wrong though because I haven’t had a boyfriend. I’ve had talking stages but the end when i tell them i don’t want to sleep with them (because we aren’t even dating!). it’s tough to find a guy who even wants to get to know me beyond what I look like. so i play hard to get to let them know I am not easy, I am not just a body.
I don't play hard to get. I haven't since I was in my early 20s. I see something and I go for it now. That's how I got my boyfriend.
My boyfriend had feelings for me since college but I was too dumb and too much into the wrong guy to pursue things with him.
10 years later...
I asked him if he still felt for me the way that he did in college and he asked me what if he did. And the rest is history.
So playing hard to get is out of the question for me especially at my age. I want kids. I want a husband. And I want that with my boyfriend.

I guess they want to make sure you're emotionally stable and won't forget about them just because they're busy with their lives?
wife response: Most marriage material women do not play hard to get and if they are rejecting you it is because you are likely the problem. my husband has a phrase he uses a lot "if everyone gets along with each other but not you.. you are the common denominator meaning you are the problem" I absolutely wanted kids and I now have kids but had my husband brought up kids at any point early into our relationship I would have left. same with what my role would be. you don't bring those things up they happen naturally over time. when we became closer he asked if I wanted to work or stay home. I elected to stay home he didn't say anything else but from that point I started washing dishes, cleaning, taking care of the house to the best of my ability. he would do his part (mostly the physical labor tasks that I couldn't do) and would always help me with laundry, dishes and more if he was available. We never talked about kids not even when we were intimate for the first time, a few days after we happened upon a scenario that brought up the possibility of kids and his response was "if it happens it happens we'll cross that bridge together" sure enough when that did happen we did cross that bridge together. of course marriage girls want dates. it is romantic, sweet, it shows you as the man care and are putting in effort. it lets us get a sense of who you are as a person and if we can see a future with you.
They vet harder when they're taking it seriously. So the perfect guy will end up going through 20x's more shit tests than some fuck boy that is just allowed over for his penis. That guy gets the easy pass still... so that may make you consider if "her" perfect man is really just a beta bucks provider that's probably going to end up raising fuck boy's baby as his own kid.
Betas have it hard man... emotional tampons, sacrifices their money and time, deals with all those shit tests, and provides. But that's how they get their shot at making kids too. ... if he didn't have those struggles though...
Would he use his free time to do some pushups and be a chick's fuck boy? Would he be banging chicks every day, but saying they ain't shit but hoes and tricks? ... or... would he be going right into a relationship to get used like a battery to support her, her emotions, and some fuck boy's baby?
Girls want to "pick" who they want to create a family with.
Remember that whoever she chooses, when she gets babies, she will want them to be raised by that man. Meaning she'll want to be sure that the guy is mentally/emotionally stable and reliable.
But she wants to be sure the man will be there as a dad and not run away leaving her alone to fend for herself and the children. That would put her in a very vulnerable/stresful situation.
But she also wants to make sure that the man will not abuse his power in the future when she and the children are totally dependant on him.
So there is a LOT at stake for a woman whe she's picking a man.
Meaning no matter how much she wants the things you mentioned above, most level-headed girls will take a lot of other things into consideration before choosing "you" as their man.
We don't. If those women in your life are playing "hard to get with you", it's because they genuinely don't want you.
They know the best husbands will gladly pursue and work hard to please her.

Women who are ready, and know it is the right time to settle with the right person, and who know what they want out of a relationship/marriage, won’t waste your time. Are you the right one to her? Have you consider that? It probably mean she’s not hopeless and won’t take stupid decision for a ring on her finger.
A woman who is wifey material wants a man who is husband material. It takes time to discover who's who. People falsely misrepresent their character more often than not. She wants to be sure you're worth her time and effort. And you should do the same.
The right person wouldn‘t play hard to get. It‘s also not easy to find someone with whom you‘d eventually have kids with or get married to.

I would assume that they want it with someone they consider the right guy. I would also not assume that they would automatically see me as that guy.
In general - work to earn your woman.
To know a guy, time is needed. So, as you call it, "playing so hard to get" is part of learning a guy. How does he react to specific events, delays, hard situations and so on.
Because we have high standards and boundaries, and if the guy doesn’t meet those needs, then we are not attracted to them.
