it happens to everyone the thing to remember is it is never you vs your partner. it is you AND your partner vs the problem. even if you have different approaches. my wife and I have 3 rules
1. it is us vs the problem not me vs you
2. don't say things you will regret take a moment to think first
3. we never go to bed upset, annoyed, mad, angry etc with each other. regardless of the passion of the disagreement we find a way to connect and be happy together before we go to sleep.
Wife response: in addition to the above we try and remember or remind each other that we both have our areas of expertise. I am more people inclined so I consider how a decision will affect people around us emotionally or physically. My husband (account creator) is more logical and rational so he will focus on the solution and how to implement it. my input will alter the solution as he takes in that information and makes changes as to reach a good solution or decision that also works for those around us
That doesn't happen if you are with someone compatible.
