New boyfriend pick my lingerie?

So I've got into a new relationship (2nd serious relationship ever I'm 31) with a very down to earth guy he's funny kind and caring we have been officially boyfriend/girlfriend for about a month now and we have had sex twice.

The very first time it wasn't too great I forgot to tell him I am allergic to latex and so the condoms I was were too small so he couldn't get hard. I was kind of upset it didn't go well... and thought wow I've shared myself with someone and it didn't go well.

Second time... Oh My goodness I was pleasantly surprised! Wild fun sex! So releaved! Now we are planning for the 3rd occasion... I asked him what colour lingerie he likes, assuming he liked colours but he said he only likes black lingerie and he's not into colours at all.

I feel a little disappointed I like wearing colours makes me feel sexy and confident but just black? he said red only for valentines day...🥲

Anyone persuaded their lover to like colourful lingerie before, how did you do it?

Also was worried it if it's too soon for me to ask him what his preferences are? I do want to please him as he pleases me very well.

Great suggestion on how to try and persuade him on the colour choice I like it! Yeah I agree I am putting too much focus on this aspect of our new sex life.

well black lingerie is great but colors are great too. but the reality is this

he had sex with you when lingerie wasn't involved. do you really think he's going to not have sex because you wear lingerie that isn't the color of his particular choice?

try not to put too much significance on what you wear or on each sexual encounter. sex is about intimacy with your partner not the clothing you wear. of course sexy lingerie can enhance the experience but a lack of lingerie or lingerie of a color that may not be our favorite isn't going to ruin anything

i have never heard of a person being so picky about the color of lingerie that it really hurt their sexual experience. but perhaps just coyly say, i know you like black but maybe when you see me in ___________________ you'll realize that other colors are great too. OR even wear the lingerie of a color you like. when he sees it ask him sort of jokingly, "so are you really going to turn this down?"

i don't think it's too soon to ask. but i do worry that you are putting a little too much importance into the matter of lingerie color preferences

You can wear colours she still be into you and dying to get his hands on you know doubt. I hate leopard print and girl lingerie on with it didn't stop me. Just said it after word's and we both laughed

So here is the deal… don’t ask if you don’t want to know. Why black? Who knows… but that’s his preference. I personally like red… but if my girlfriend didn’t ask and was wearing blue, green or any other color lingerie it wouldn’t matter to me. I would love her in anything. If you asked me and I said red and then you wore blue that would probably bother me that you asked but then didn’t care what I wanted. Sorry you need to wear black now.
