I would plan a date day night for us and he can’t do the same. He would say he wants to take me somewhere but never plans it. He would take me out for dinner once a month but once again he NEVER picks and just say I’m taking you out for dinner. I always pay for drinks and snacks. I would also surprise him with his favourite drink and chocolates when he is sick or is having a bad day. But he doesn’t do the same.

I used to be in a similar position as you. He didn’t have a job, so I paid for the dates. I was also the one to plan the dates. I paid for the food on our dates. I paid for the activities. He didn’t drive, so I paid for his bus ticket to come see me. I was the one who always drove. I paid for the gas money for our dates and for me to visit him.
Could he have gotten a job so he could pay to treat me or visit me on his own? Sure. But he didn’t want to.

You want to know what happened to that guy? I dumped him.

That’s really bad, I don’t have a job either because we moved to a different country so I don’t have a work permit at the moment. But what I would do to still contribute and earn money by doing things around the house to earn money. And I don’t get paid much but I work hard so that I can spend it on him.

But yes it’s a good idea that you did that tbh I’m at that stage of just leaving
