Question

I often hear some people say men have to be tall, handsome, confident etc for dating women. And that men date what they can get?

So they claim some men are attractive, others are not. It follows that there is such a thing as top tier minority of men. Doesn't this apply to women too?

Are all women equally attractive?

Let's start from the beginning. We have our needs, which are secured the best by the romantic relationship. So we feel kind of driven to find this special person and create the relationship.

Then comes subconsciousness. It makes a first evaluation of potential partners for us. Every human being has its own criteria, but some are common. We look for healthy partners who can help us raise healthy offspring. Shiny hair, healthy skin, and proper body ratio are among the most important factors.

Then comes our consciousness. And we make secondary choices, sometimes totally opposite to the primary ones, because we are intelligent. Modern medicine and adoptions solve the problem of partner who can't have children on their own. So we look for someone more close to us, someone who shares our ideas, matches our expectations and gives us the chance of a long and fulfilling relationship.

People are different, and each of us has different standards defining attractiveness. So even if I'm not attractive to some men, there are still others who like insolent, scrawny redheads :D

But if you look closer. We have our types, but whether we end in a relationship with our type is determined by a myriad of factors. One of them is physical chemistry (smell is a very strong factor). Another attraction to the mind. Another sexual compatibility. and so on...

So my ex, who loved thin blondes, ended with a more curvy (at that time) redhead. Shit happens :D

"I often hear some people say. . ." What you hear is the people who talk about relationships instead of actually having relationships, and what they are offering is usually excuses or justifications for their own failures that take the focus off of themselves.

Go to the mall, have a seat in a main corridor, and watch all of the couples who stroll by. Do they all look like Hollywood actors and actresses? Of course not. Normal people find partners and settle into long term relationships every day.

Now, not all women are equally attractive to me. I have my preferences and I have an "ideal type," but I don't think I have ever actually dated a woman who perfectly matched my ideal type. I have dated some women and developed an attraction as I became more familiar with them. But there are some physical traits that are a strong turn off for me, such as heavy thighs, big butts, and humongous boobs.

However, other guys find those same qualities very desirable, and they would be turned off by the petite girl with 32A boobs that I find attractive.

Now, I have a question for you. Can you give me driving directions to this "sexual market?" I've never been there but would love to at least visit it once! :) :) :)

What most women fail to understand is this. Their sexual market value in dating, is never where they place it themselves.

It's never as low or as high as they think it is or should be.

Men on the other hand, just put more value in general on sex. And if your not interested in that... then your market value is incredibly lower then you think.

And trust me, any man willing to climb the highest of heights to reach the level you have placed your market value at... is a man you don't want anyway.

No of course not, there will be women who are sexually unattractive and those women will have a hard time getting a partner. If you plainly turn men off in advance they will not be interested in having a sexually exclusive relationship with you.

My short answer is that it starts out that way, and changes into a no over time. What I mean by that is that we make choices in our lives that make ourselves less or more desirable to the other sex.

When we talk about looks. I for example prefer a taller woman. Does that raise my attraction towards her? Yes. Is it going to make a big difference? No. A shorter girl can also still be really attractive. That's just basic looks. Genes.

Hygiene. Dressing. Can alter that attraction too. Ever run into a person who doesn't know that showers or baths exist? That value goes down to the bottom. How they want to world to see them. Instagram provocative pictures, attention seeking, onlyfans. No thanks. Not really attracted to that kind of woman.

You see: In economy, many people will settle for ''Made in China'' although they know that it's crap. But it's cheap to get.

Of course not. Some women are prettier and sexier than others. That doesn't mean that different guys don't have different preferences. And it doesn't account for a woman's personality. But the fact remains that beautiful women can attract more guys.

"Attractiveness" is a consensus not an absolute. Some people are more widely attractive to a larger percentage of other people but no one is attractive to everyone.

So when you ask the question, are all women equally attractive, the answer is "To whom?" Are all women equally attractive to the same percentage of men? Clearly the answer is no just as not all men are equally attractive to the same percentage of women.
