Guys, should a woman do the chasing?

So in online world, things work differently. You are not always aware of others intentions and interests towards you. Online world is full of jerks and sluts too only some are genuine. I wanna know if a guy does the bare minimum. For example liking your posts/stories/commenting but never sliding in dms or directly approaching for friendship at least. Should a woman consider wasting time on such guys or chase them? Well I have also heard women should not chase and that guys like the women who chase.

Why play games, you are either interested in someone or you aren't.
If you are let them know, otherwise you stand a pretty good chance of them not having a clue that you are even interested in them and loose them to someone else that was direct about it.
