Sex in the parents house?

Please tell me if I am ridiculous. I love my current boyfriend but I’m not a fan of his past, and it mainly has to do with his parents.

his parents gave him the blessing to bring girls over since he was about 16 years old and have sex in their house with them home. Once he was done his mom would drive the girlfriend or whatever home. This continued up until he met me when I said I don’t want part in this because it is weird.

he told his parents that I said that was gross and encouraged dangerous behaviors and they had choice words for me for questioning their method of parenting with my boyfriend. They also allowed excessive drinking and drug use in their home.

his mother would also pull out a photo album of all the girls he had been w and showed me. I left that day, and told him about it and he went and ripped it up. I also told him I don’t want his mom to have any photos of me and think of me as some weird ass trophy her son is pounding.

so I don’t particularly like going over there. I find his upbringing absolutely deplorable.

I mean nothing wrong with providing a safe space for your children to explore their sexuality, alcohol and drugs etc. having an album of his ex's is very strange.

I personally think if sexuality should be explored when the kids are minors both parents should be aware that their children are having sex- because that comes with reprocussions. I am also not talking about smoking. A little weed- I’m talking about buying him needles to use heroin.

I don’t plan on having kids, which is a plus. But he is making a genuine effort to reverse the ideologies his parents instilled- and they don’t like it. If this relationship becomes more serious (we’ve been together almost 3 years), I will encourage him to distance himself. I’m not an alienating person- but these people are profoundly bad

Not a very self respecting family it appears. You're not wrong. Anyone conscious enough would feel weird and insulted in this situation.

My boyfriend is an absolutely wonderful man, and I understand when he was younger any young man would take advantage of being able to live so free and do whatever he wanted. I am not knocking him for taking full advantage- but due to this “parenting” technique the man is 28, a full blown alcoholic and sex addict. He’s working on these issues but I really think it’s worse than it would have been due to the parents
