Men never have and never will be important. I know everyone is saying otherwise, but this is the sad reality. We are treated as a second option in everything. If you're in some argument with a girl, people would side with her without even listening to your side. If you board a crowded public transport, people would give up their seat for a woman, but never for a man, even if he's sick. If you apply for a job, you'll see that there's a preference for female candidates. Under the guise of maintaining a healthy gender ratio, they will discriminate based on your sex. This is the sad reality. And it's not like women are to blame for this. It's the men who are unfair with other men. We are never going to be a prize, we'll always be a pathetic excuse, easily replaceable and worth nothing.

Generally I think the balanced mindset that avoids repelling people with inflated egos but also avoids repelling people with asskissing is to avoid viewing anyone as the prize. No one should put anyone on a pedestal, not themselves or others.

The relationship is the prize when two people who are very compatible for each other find each other and maturely work things out together.
