When you are dating or in a relationship, what are the topics are you really passionate about talking about?

I love talking with my honey…we generally focus on our routines.. yeah boring 🥱… but it has to get done… such as planning out our meals for the week… just having some organizations and preparations…

we also talk about anything that comes up to our mind… he tells me about the ballgames he watched, the dirt bike events he attended or church events. I talk about my boring job from time to time… or the gossip/excitement of it.
then we talk about gag lol…

oh the big one… finance … that’s a hot topic we are on almost once a week… that has worked out well at the same time exciting … something for him to do.

travel plans, cars, health, society… we don’t have much dull moments.

we watched a movie together yesterday becuase it was a rainy day.. and didn’t read the summary… both agreed was a waisted of our time even though it was a Cannes award winning movie. Not our cup of tea.

I'm most interested in the subjective over the objective.

I don't want a summary of a book. I can whip that up in a Google search even on my phone these days. I want to know how the book made my date feel, how it relates to their ways of thinking, their childhood, things of this nature.

As far as the general subject, I'm most interested in the Arts and Humanities even though I have a STEM job. I don't want to talk about algorithms and data structures and computer architecture and so forth over dinner in my free time, since that's starting to resemble my work. That's what I talk about all day long at work.

So I'd much rather talk about history, visual arts, music, films, literature, philosophy, theology, things of this nature. They also tend to tap more into the subjective over the objective.
