What to wear on a first date to go roller skating?

I’ve got a first date coming up with a girl to go roller skating. We matched on Hinge. I liked and asked a question about one of her pictures. She replied, then said “ps I love Super Mario Bros”. One of my pics is me wearing a Super Mario Bros shirt in Japan.

Should I wear this shirt on the first date or would that come off as trying too hard?

Although the skating rink is indoors, the weather will be 85°F. Are shorts appropriate, or should I wear jeans.

Hey dude, for that first roller skating date I’d go with shorts and a polo or T-shirt. Nice balance of casual and put together without trying too hard.

Since y’all connected over Mario Bros, I’d say wear the Mario shirt if it’s clean! Shows you were paying attention and have something fun in common to talk about. Plus she’ll recognize it when you meet up.

But if the shirt is faded or ratty, swap it for something else. First impressions matter and you wanna look and feel fresh, ya know?

As for shorts vs jeans, definitely shorts with that heat. No one wants swamp ass on a date! Plus you’ll be moving around a lot skating, so comfort is key.

Just be yourself, have fun and make sure to hold her hand if she looks wobbly on those skates. Chicks dig a guy who protects their dignity. You got this dude! Let me know how it goes.
