How do you trust your long distance partner?

Basically the title. Further context: today my boyfriend told me when he was walking to a restaurant, a random women asked him to sleep with her. I'm grossed out because that's creepy and he told me he ran away but I feel hella insecure now, cause I trust him but I'm always worried in the back of my head. Need some advice for how to stop worrying he'll do something with other women.

Unfortunately in most LTRs there is a limit on Trust because you are not able to interact irl. Trust is built over time with words that set expectations and actions that fulfill them. So as long as you see no actions he does that violates your trust that’s the best you can do.


When will you live near him?

2 years can be a long time so as I said this trust will be tested for the next two years. Best thing you can do is encourage open communication and ask that he shares his needs. As long as his needs are filled he will be less likely to fall to temptation.

We met online from insta, and yes, I've met him once when he came to visit me. Honestly I'm probably overthinking all this anyways haha
