Should you be obsessed with your partner, not just in the beginning?

I have been getting depressed lately because my relationship is falling apart. I realized that he has settled for me, based on what he has said about ex's and their relationship. For one, he told me I was overweight before and jokes about my weight in front of his friends. He told me I was a five out of ten. He had said how another ex he was obsessed with and she gorgeous and rich and out of his league. He told her he love her three months into the relationship. Three months for us he said he didn't know how serious he was, after coming to my house every night to fk me. Call me delusional but can I just meet someone who is obsessed with me?

I think so. If I'm not obsessed with her, I probably won't try as hard to please her.
