Is it immature to become self critical when men lose interest or mistreat me?

Is taking things too personally a sign of immaturity? Like becoming, self-critical and depressed over how others mistreat you is often needless because their behavior is about them and their faulty motives, not the result of your supposed defects?

Yes, because you need to know who tf you are with or without a guy. If you keep shifting and changing yourself for every guy in your life you'll end up losing yourself and that sense of who you are -- your spiritual and mental core. You need to build your confidence and EQ...

No I wouldn’t say maturity has much to do with it. It’s just a bad habit to be always self critical or listening to your inner critic. You maybe want to try self affirmation instead, or at least trying to be kinder to yourself a. It sounds like you have just become “good” at being hard on yourself which is then causing your low moods. This isn’t really that attractive either , confidence is attractive, and what you’re doing to yourself won’t help with that in my opinion either. When you see it it’s just a downward spiral. Talk to people about what they see as your qualities , your family , your friends , your colleagues and have a little more belief in yourself and break the bad habit !

I think it's not necessarily a sign of immaturity, but rather insecurities. I think no matter how hard people try to feign a lack of care, everyone feels at least a little rejected/dejected when they're mistreated or someone loses interest in them.

I can tell you I definitely do. It's human nature though. I'm pretty sure people would go insane pretty easily if no one in the world treated them well and everyone lost interest in them.

Being self critical is good TO AN EXTENT. It just means you're introspective and reflective of your actions and behaviour.
