Is the majority of the effort you put into maintaining your health/beauty mainly for yourself or to attract someone else?

I dont like to draw too much attention 🤣😅 I have some wuirks when it comes to having a plate of food in front of me and can't really eat as relaxed with eyes on me lol


I am also never one to flaunt what I have or taunt that I am any better than somebody else.. though for confidence it does help big time to groom, do some calisthenics, eating fruits and drinking water


I find myself in other times needing to present myself in a more polished image just in case somebody has judged me or put me in a box based on my style despite having an internal treasure chest of common sense, love, and somewhat sharp intellect




And certain occasions too if I were to polish up it’s mostly for the respect of the people at that occasion or if my partner dresses up otherwise I am dressing casually with a cap and sneakers


Despite my lackadaisical efforts in how I dress, you’ll never find me wearing pajamas out in public. But if you do feel free to shoot a video and call the authorities cuz I've been drugged and abducted for some kind of blackmail or ransom

I'd say it's about equal for me. I want others to see I've cleaned up pretty nicely, but also do it to feel confident. The reason I'd feel confident is directly related to others view of me though. I don't like going out looking like a bum. Also... you're only young once. Might as well look as good as you can so you can look back one day and say "Damn! I was decent looking fella!" 😂

For my kids, actually. It's important for their self-esteem, too. They like it when I make an extra effort and it sets an example of putting on a good face when things aren't perfect. I like to be well-maintained because it makes me feel put-together, attractive and if nothing is going right, at least I'm physically cared for.

@MysteriousDarkness Because we’re human. We’re genetically made to do things for outward appearances from other people from a mating standpoint. If you don’t put an effort into your appearance it’s because you don’t care what people think. If you do, then you do care what people think. It’s not YOU deciding you want to do these things because the care you put into yourself you LEARNED from outward judgements. That’s why people who put more effort into their appearance feel more confident because they get treated better within society.
