I've never put too much effort into finding anyone thinking it would just happen. I used dating apps here and there in my 20s but most of the guys either wanted to get laid or just didn't like me and ghost me after the 1st date. So I focused on my career. Now I really want to get married and have a family. I'm back on Bumble and I get matches but no one really follows through much on talking. Some people message once a day or once every few days... nothing to get the ball rolling. I've even asked a guy to text and he does the one message a day and very surface level conversation. I even got Bumble premium no luck.

This is what I've tried to meet guys:
1. Joined volleyball (but most people are even older or they are in relationships... no one has talked to me to ask me out)
2. Gone to a few speed dating events and mingles and no one is interested enough to ask for my number.
3. Ask friends and family - only one recommendation of this unemployed half a year guy that much much shorter than me and very weird looking with boob's bigger than mine.

Should I just give up and get a sperm donor, I'm not sure what to do.

P. s. I'm also a virgin by Choice right now because I wanted to be in a relationship first... which never happened.

I don't think dating apps are the answer. There like disco was in the 80s and 90s. Guys use them for quick hookups.

And I don't think bars are the answer either. I used to go to clubs where I live and was working pretty good. But family things happen and I had to put myself in time out for awhile..

In my town there all kinds of things going on and tones of single people go.

It's winter so so snow boarding or skiing is good places if you. Can do either..

But here the thing you have to be willing to talk to people

In then let's say you hit it off with a guy you start making out and and you say nope not until I'm married. That's like slamming his hand in a car door.

It's not always easy until you least expect it and an opportunity arises. The apps are a bit of a red herring and tend to be stale and wasteful. Organic meeting in a coffee shop, bar, store or in everyday doing your life is maybe an option. See someone you like the look of and approach them with a "I'm new here" line or something and a guy will be stoked you asked him then get chatty about something (the white lie can be rescinded later when and if something comes of it) to find out about meeting people around here since you're new.
If white lies and manipulation aren't your thing then you can always just ask someone sitting alone in a space if you could join them.
