When you are talking to a guy, not dating or offical couple yet, how long does it take for a first kiss?

I never had a boyfriend so I don't know what’s normal or not.

My first kiss was at 18, from guy at job. He gave me rides home daily& texted daily & the first kiss was fast. First date was fast too. But after that we never dated , just text daily& me alone. it ended up being a fuckboy that used me for sex and never met family. So years of my life was wasted with no baby at least nothing.

I never dated other guys due to that guy making me believe he was my boyfriend and wasn’t.

At 25 I had a crush at job but we never met til Dec 2023 but we talked 3 days & we lost contact as we got fired. He flirted once I remember& felt him as my soulmate.

at 26 while I’m fired I talked to 100 guys on dating apps and all wanted hookup only. I did meet one guy but he was my crushes twin, so that’s only reason I hookup with him, & he even dressed & acted like my crush which was creepy. We kissed tho but nothing serious.

at 27 I meet new guy at job, he showed interest in me almost daily Dec , March, but we only talk one time a week. We cud of talked more or almsot daily if I hadn’t missed the chances. So who knows if kiss would of happeend if I hadn’t missed chances Dec, Feb, March.
still march we talked 1x a wk. & Feb we only spend Valentine’s Day together. I missed few chances talk after that to him in the roamntic dark outside.

so maybe it’s me making progress slow but still there’s no first kiss yet. But it don’t seem he’s using me for sex texting planing a date for sex fast by now.

Yes but I’m traumatized my whole life I’ve had bad things happen with me with guys.

Just once in March instead of asking for date he tried follow me to a cofee shop , and if I had gotten off my car it might of been a date, but I didn’t get off I thought he was there by coincidence and wouldn’t want see me.

Do the two of you have a mutual friend or teo that you work with? Maybe get together as a group first. That's how I did it with my guy. A small group went out to eat and made sure he was invited. Another was a smaller group to the movie. The third was an even smaller group for game night. Then just the two of us for dinner. Now he's mine.

My partner and I had several mutual friends prior to us dating. I asked if they all wanted to go to eat and had one of them invite him. They made sure I sat next to him so could talk naturally.
Life's not a movie. Talking once a day at work doesn't mean anything if you're not seeing each other outside of that.
My partner and I would talk at work but it's kinda hard to really flirt when the bosses are watching.

Sugar100, stop waiting on him. If you want a date, just go to him and ask him out. It's 2025, and the dating atmosphere has changed. Good guys are less likely to ask you out, especially if you work together. Guy's love it when a woman tells them what she wants. No guesswork. As for the first kiss, go with your gut. If you want to kiss him, there are no guidelines except for don't kiss someone else's guy, That may cause a scene... lol
