I got a fight over a creep coming onto my boyfriend, am I overreacting?

I was at a pride event yesterday afternoon like a mini festival thing and this middle aged fella kept going up to my boyfriend every time he went to get drinks and food while we were at the buffet, I get fed up with it so while my boyfriend was talking to a mutual friend I confronted the 5ft moron bald middle man.

He mocked me shoes, and called me a "traffic cone" due to my tan, I went to strike him with my hand to which he caught my hand pulled it behind my back and dunked my head into a bowl/bucket of Tomato soup.

I am still really wound up by it, aswell as my boyfriends giggling response to it.
