I'm scared to date cause of this?

So i often watch videos online of predators and pedophiles getting caught by YouTubers, they get arrested, and sometimes the police doesn't do anything to reprimand these creeps.
There's so many who get caught, and there's so many more that do it... I am scared to date cause I'd hate to date someone, and he would be like this or have done this. They talk to underage children online.

It's scary.. are men all like this? Why is this so common?

No, not every man is like that. When I read/hear about cases like that, I'm not going to lie... I did feel scared.. a lot and would wonder, **do I know anyone like them. I don't want to associate myself with them and would taken an action if I had to**, but then I calmed myself down by thinking about the kind of men I know in my life who would give up their life to protect the child.. not just their own but also a stranger's. So, there are some men and women (yes, some women are paedophiles too) who can't be trusted, most aren't bad people

Most guys are not pedophiles or predators. That being said, most guys would rather get laid by a lot of girls than get into a monogamous relationship, which can be discouraging for girls. And that’s not even counting the ones who get into a monogamous relationship and still try to get laid by lots of girls.

While yes testosterone increases the daily sex drive in guys, I’d bet if a guy was on a monogamous relationship and she was energized for intimacy every day then that guy may be happy and not go looking.

However we all know it’s never that easy and girls shoulder more risk when it comes to sex so they are more selective.. and that often results in guys seeking it outside of the relationship. Obv most are not doing it in a toxic way (like the original question) but I think guys seek it out much like girls seek out emotional connections outside of the relationship. It’s just hard to generalize all this

And 1/3 of paternity tests come back negative and that is just of the ones that had a reason to suspect and get tested. There are more that go untested for many years. All of those women need to be in prison for child abuse and fraud for at least as many years as they lied about who was the father. They also need to be prosecuted for lying under oath.

The people on those shows hardly represent the majority - if they did the age of consent would be 10. I doubt a pedophile will be interested in you.

You should also be aware that they air those kind of shows for titillation; years ago when it was the time of year when ratings were measured the nightly news would suddenly be full of reports on teen prostitution.

Please don’t be scared to date, there’s a lot of them yes (even female) but it shouldn’t make you afraid to date. It just means that you may consider taking it a little slower. When I felt like this I had to take a break from social media and this allowed my algorithm to change. Sometimes you have to keep scrolling because it can feed into your anxiety.

Bruh it happens all the time. How many adults are messaging children on apps and doing it anonymously and they are either MARRIED OR HAVE KIDS? HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Could you imagine being married and happy and then you find out your spouse is doing this? Happens ALL the time. Its quite common.

It happens more than it should, but it still is very rare. I had a teacher and worked with another guy who was caught. Both guys gave of very weird vibes. Nobody was exactly shocked that they were capable of this evil behavior. I couldn't find any statistics, but I'd wager that a married man is significantly more likely to not participate in such behavior. If you are so worried about it, make sure your partner isn't worried about you looking into his phone or whatever else you might be concerned he could be using to be a predator.
