Honestly, I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day. It is a day where we are supposed to be romantic and exchange gift's with a lover, just because they say it is a day for that. Why not just be that way on other special occasions or when the mood hits both people involved?

I remember when I was dating a lady in my 30s, it was Valentine's Day and I was having a bad day at work. It was in the medical field at the time, and I didn't get out of work until 9:30. I was in absolutely no mood to do anything, let alone be romantic. We went to a restaurant and my girlfriend was almost in tears that I wasn't feeling it. Anyway she understood but it was awkward.

It would be a bummer, but not the end of the world , there were times I couldn’t have sex because of something I ate or drank that messed my stomach up , to the point I just ended up laying down and going to bed and just fucked her the next day when I felt better

It would definitely cause me to think about what she is getting from the relationship and how she thinks about me. I read small interactions constantly. Lack of effort on her part while feeling entitled to set expectations for me may result in a silent exit on my part. And that's OK. Show me who you are. I'll respond to what you show me.

On the flip side if valentines day is on a Tuesday and we both have to work the next day, I get the pass on a roll in the sheets. Rain check is OK,
