You don't have to be interested in a relationship to be friendly with someone, and I'm always friendly with females when I'm out and about, just a smile and a hello is all it takes.

I think it helps if someone has a talking point, something they or you can ask about, and it could be just about anything.

I got talking to a female last week about the number of shopping bags she was carrying home, and from that we were talking about other things lol.

I would say be friendly with everyone and it's easy to approach people, and for them to approach you.

It's already very clear that it isn't socially agreeable to approach strangers, so I won't do that. Plus, I'm not interested in someone I know nothing about so there's no incentive for me lol

Nah. I talk to everyone. This is why a 5-minute drive to the shop can turn into an hour-long excursion.

I don't just walk up and start hitting on women. That's horny dog behavior. I will start a conversation with a woman who is standing next to me, though.
