Is this long-distance admirer genuine or a romantic scammer?

So this guy on insta he just randomly wrote me 1 day and started to compliment me with all these things. Not really about my looks but personality. He lives in CA I'm PA. He said he wants to come down in December to visit me. He said he's gonna pay for his flight there and back. But my question is who wanna come over in Winter? We have cold weather, snow, and ice. He lives in CA. Who would wanna come to CA to the Est? He constantly texts me. If he get me on my phone he writes me on Insta. If I don't answer right away he just keeps going with calls. Texts me every morning on phone and if I don't answer he goes Insta. He does the same thing with every text. No answer then Insta. No answer blows up my phone and Insta. Is he a romantic scammer or just a guy who wants to get to know me?

Sounds like love-bombing... but coming in Desember might be fun for him if he's never been in a Philly winter or seen snow. I'd say let him come visit. You might want him to dial down the constant texting.

As long as he doesn't ask you for money, he's not a scammer, per se. You might ask him to come sooner, if possible. See where that goes.
