How can I stop men from assuming my appearance means I’m high-maintenance?

It’s not just me being paranoid, men have told me what they think of me multiple times.
They always jump to conclusions before getting to know me. For example: I’m tall, so they assume a guy has to be as tall as an NBA player to approach me. They think I look 'high-maintenance,' so they assume I'm after money. I'm outgoing and confident, so they assume I want a life full of adrenaline.

In reality, I'm just a simple girl who loves a quiet life, and my looks are deceiving, let's just say my personality and my appearance don't match at all.

What makes me mad is that they are certain I'm less 'convenient' than a girl who might be short, or out of shape, or less pretty, but then, in reality, it’s exactly that less conspicuous girl who actually wants the tall, rich guy who takes her to expensive restaurants, etcetera.

I repeat: it’s not just me being paranoid. I’m complaining about a problem because there have been multiple incidents that confirmed it for me.
