Kissing before officially in a relationship?

I was wondering, does kissing before becoming completely exclusive indicate that you're not looking for something serious?

I like this guy, and I really wanna kiss him, but last time I kissed a guy before we defined anything, well he was just using me, which I was fine with. But I want something more legitimate with this guy in particular.

Should I hold out and wait? I've known him for like a year so he's not like a stranger or anything.

You've known him for like a year and you kissed another guy before? Then you obviously you don't like this guy. Just break it to him so he can move on.

Yeah thats fine I kiss a girl usually on 2nd or 3rd date... depending on how its going you don't necessarily have to be "official".
