Is School Designed More for Girls Than Boys?

We've all been there.

Girls tend to develop certain skills earlier than boys: for example, the ability to sit still and stay attentive. More often than not, most students will do just that — sit for long periods of time and listen attentively — or else suffer a lower grade or disciplinary action. Yet, girls are outperforming boys at all levels of the educational ladder, from kindergarten to graduate school. Boys score as well as or better than girls on most standardized tests, yet they are far less likely to get good grades, take advanced classes or attend college.

School is not designed in favour of one gender or the other, that's a stupid fucking question.
School is designed to build worker bees, not leaders. This is why the education system (at least in Canada) is horribly useless and outdated. Aside our growing pussiness as a society (giving children participation medals and not pressuring them in school by failing those under the mark anymore) the education system was concieved at the turn of the century during the industrial revolution. It was designed to train and produce a whole new generation of workers for a new era in a booming economy where industries were only growing at a rapid rate and the demand for workers in the industries were growing alongside them. And now you have kids who don't know their own country's geography and can't tell you their own name in cursive because they're fucking stupid. And I'll be fair, only part of that is really the education system. The rest of that is just the kids being naturally fucking stupid, born into a world of computers and other shit where they never learned how to work for their information, and the last third is their parents not having the time or fucks to give to teach their children the basic shit that they, as parents, should be teaching them (my dad taught me my own personalized signature in cursive and told me tons about what the 60's were like when he was growing up in turbulent times). It's fucking pathetic, it really is.
But anyway, no it's not gender-based. But I will give you this, more and more schools, especially Universities and Colleges, are turning feminist and pushing the feminist agenda and it is really alienating to the male demographic in these insitutions and it is really fucking sad and pathetic. #FuckMeToo.

School is mostly gender neutral. Women are better at some subjects (sciences). However it isn't really different. We men may mature slower, but by 16 your brain stops growing new cells.

I'm not saying they are better at all ages or all sciences or that all women are better.

However subjects like grade 10-12 sciences seem to have better scoring frmale students. This could have nothing to do with intelligence, it could be environmental factors at play.

Kinda. Our brains functions differently. Guys just have a harder time following instructions than girls which is taught at school a lot. Guys are risk takers looking for the easiest way to solve stuff.

I believe it has been increasingly made so yes to try and accommodate and encourage female equality which is all good but it seems to unfortunately the boys are being left behind a bit in general

And especially the types of those that boys need to engage in, the teachers call toxic, and bullying. Punishing what is perfectly natural and healthy for young boys to do, all the while insisting that the figiting boys do while in class is ADHD because there has to be something wrong with them.

@ninjafemme Except that many of the male engineers, lawers, doctors, CEO's, etc... Fail many of their classes while in public schools. I'm one of them, along with most of my coworkers. The current system is against boys, and is especially against the boys who are most likely to succeed, aka smart and competive.
