I've noticed (thinking back on my highschool days) that girls tend to hate or just dislike PE as a whole (not because of the pervy teachers or the boys staring at them...) So can someone try to explain?

i see a lot of complain about it being the 1st period of the day or that girls were self conscious about showering in front of other girls, or simply because of periods or finally because of sweat. Now first off i'm a guy so i don't mind sweat, hell i enjoy sports so if i'm sweating it means i'm actually busting my ass off, secondly in France, sports was rarely the first class of the day we either had it right before lunch or right before leaving school to go home

Finally, you didn't have to shower, just change clothes (no uniforms in my schools) put deodorant and perfume and you're good to go (which in retrospect i find really not great for personal hygene)

Speaking only from personal experience, 1. Pointless as hell when I felt like I got plenty of exercise just by having to walk and jog long distances to get to my classes 2. Insecurities— hated being around taller people or physically mature girls in tight clothes. Made me feel small in every way imaginable. 3. Circling back to 1, because I thought it was pointless it was just boring as hell ESPECIALLY when my friend (s) didn’t show up. 4. Being in PE while on my period was... disastrous 5. I get more enjoyment and spiritual nourishment out of stimulating my mind. So In comparison to my other classes, PE was a bit depressing. 6. CLOTHES—rarely had the right attire so the teachers would give me hell or I’d just feel very self conscious. And having to Change between classes was a whole process of mental drain. Not to mention the locker rooms. Sometimes I got lucky to change in the stalls but that wasn’t often.
My school didn't have proper PE equipment or anything like that. So PE consisted of running around in circles for the first ten minutes, then doing some stupid warm up exercises for another 10 and finally we had to divide into teams and play ball games. My physical strength is not that great and just the running around got me tired every time and I really hated it. As you said, sports class was usually at late hours where you were hungry and already couldn't wait to get home so the PE was the last thing you needed... but luckily this lasted only 1year. Due to health reasons I got a permanent medical excuse and didn't attend it for the rest of junior high and high school.
For starters, it's annoying having to change into gym clothes so quickly and I don't like changing in front of other people. I know some guys who could get away without changing or who could wear shorts under their jeans (don't ask me how, I'm still blown away). I've never been an athletic person, so sports and all that isn't very appealing to me. PE could be kinda fun when I had a decent teacher and fun people in my class, but if I didn't it was just annoying.
1. Some are embarrassed about changing clothes in front of their friends,
2. Some are concerned about exercising while having their period,
3. Working up a sweat undoes all of the work they put into their hair and makeup,
4. Some of them are embarrassed about taking a shower in the presence of their friends (even though I understand that girls' locker rooms do not have gang showers like we have in the boys' locker rooms.)
Response to updates: You have the problem solved but have ignored one simple truth: a solution that works for guys does not necessarily work for girls, because they are different. They don't think like you and they don't feel like you. Male logic is irrelevant in the female experience.
I hated it because it was the first class i always had so i had to go to other classes sweaty because i refuse to shower with the lesbians/dikes 🤷♀️ They werent about to try to turn my ass out. The coaches were usually sexy. PE started out as workouts 1st through 10th grade. By 11th grade we got a careless coach who made us do nothing and we sat around gossiping and listening to music on cell phones and stuff. Plus we shared the weight room with the football players so we were flirting our ass off. Well actually i had the majority to myself cause not that many of us girls were straight 😂
I'll tell you why I hated HS P.E.----I just took a shower before school, just got dressed in one uniform, then I had to come to school, get undressed and into yet another uniform and then run around and get sweaty. I begged the school to allow those of us who had gym first to be able to wear our gym uniforms to school, and they said no---it would somehow violate our other uniform dress code. Add to that, you're forced to do sports that you really aren't good at and never will be for the sake of fitness. IF we'd been given options, like they gave us at my middle school, I would have loved it like I did then, but this was just forced mainly running around.
I always wondered that too but I know that a lot of them just didn't want to ruin their nails, or hair, and just always look pretty instead of just having fun lol but I seiously loved PE class. Was a very fun class since it kept you active instead of just sitting in a boring classroom for hours.
I actually failed PE bacauseI didn't like to participate, but im super active and always have been. Showering in front of other girls though and on your period? No thanks. As if I wasn't bullied enough. Not to mention, I was not coordinated enough to join in without looking like an idiot.
My school didn’t have showers. And I didn’t like it because I had a medical exemption that should have allowed me to take yoga instead of regular gym class, since it was impossible for me to do well in that class anyway, but I still had to take regular gym because yoga was the same period as choir. And I knew I wanted to major in music. So dropping music wasn’t an option.
I just thought it was a waste of time since I worked out in my own time and didn’t need an hour of standing around pretending to play a sport included in that and it was just inconvenient because you had to carry a change of clothes then get changed then get changed again afterwards and I was always late to classes I actually enjoyed
Because of period and also you get all nasty and sweaty, and most girls just don't like to shower at school. Some teacher would force us to take off the pants and be with shorts and I felt super conscious. I hated it.
I love it but most of my friends hate it cause getting changed, they only give us a minute so you’re late for class and get notes, you sweat so makeup comes off, usually the sports they choose are stupid ones etc
