Do you think it's possible to become a millionaire employee? Or do you think you can only reach millionaire status as an entrepreneur?

it is possible. but you would have to start a finance plan very early in your life as soon as you're employed and pay a considerable ammount (10% or more) of your money over the course of 40-50 years. then dividends, interest and compound interest will rack up quite a bit. and you'll be able to have a million or so, when you're 60, given you never interrupt and always keep paying in.
however in my opinion, that's somewhat stupid. cause over the course of 40 years, the buying power of a million will shrink significantly due to inflation plus: why don't you take the money to enjoy life now? when you're old, you'll have all the money for the things that you can't do anymore...
You have to be really good at negotiating, I figure. Yet I replaced a former person at a company and later found out he was making close to $1mil USD/year. Made me want to renegotiate my contract after. That said, he was in the days of "rock star" in my field.
I don't see how you can become a millionaire while you're an employee unless you're working and you win the lottery. So, I would say it's easier to reach that when you're an entrepreneur.
Of course. It's more than possible. My uncle did it in his 40s. And he told me the most he ever made in one year was around 80k.

It's possible in law, medical specialties, many aspects of finance and technology fields for sure
As an entrepreneur with like-minded friends and associates, it is far far easier to make that money when you run the show
Yes it’s possible, a lot depends on how you are saying millionaire, from only salary or from other investments or simply from having assets well over that
I work for a company called Winco. it is employee owned. You get stock instead of a 402k/ We had a few people retire that had been with the company since the beginning. Both walked away with over 2 million dollars
nick cannon is a millionaire employee he gets paid from Viacom and Disney. he has to follow their rules to get paid.
Well you have to win a lottery or something to be a million dollar employee you have to sell your body and yet i hate to say this, sex salvery is a Billion dollar business. God put those in sex slavery in jail in Jesus name Amen
It is much harder but if you kiss the right behinds and get lucky, you might make it.
Nah. No ass-kissing or luck is necessary. You just need to stay employed and be a good saver/investor.
@supercutebutt I am a millionaire on paper but I was never in the winners circle in the wage department. I mostly saved like crazy and have two pieces of property that have gone through the rooof.
Well then there you go. My uncle invested in stocks and never freaked out when the market crashed. He just stuck with his plan and put more money in when everybody else was freaking out.
@supercutebutt I did that right after 9/11 as soon as the market reopened I doubled down on everything.
No butt kissing
@supercutebutt gets it. (I can’t believe I just typed that name…)
Sure if you’re in the right career. A million dollars isn't that much these days anyway
Sure company wealth and personal wealth aren't the same thing
It's obviously possible. Steve Balmer, for instance.
My grandfather is a multimillionaire and he’s a businessman. He’s an entrepreneur, though he was a medical rep at first
Done it. But being a millionaire isn't really "rich" in the way that most people think of it. That's more like $100 million.
that depends where you live though. A million dollars where I live, is a buttload of money. :D But yeah, some places, it really won't get you very far at all.
@BlackAndBlueBalls That's true, but the point of being "rich" is that you can do what you want, where you want and generally speaking with whom you want. If all you want is to live somewhere and not work, you could definitely arrange that for not too much money if you're willing to move to the right place.
With inflation and the rise of global corporations it's super-easy, barely an inconvenience.
In a lifetime you can make a million as an employee, you just shouldn't spend money.
Something like 80% of millionaires are teachers. And that doesn't include their pensions so...
Yes, it's absolutely possible.
both routes are possible
been employed is the safer
Very unlikely. You’d have to become a board member with stock options…upper echelon. And that’s highly unlikely, statistically speaking. Rich people hire each other for those jobs.
Nope. Anyone who is disciplined can do it. Warren Buffett was asked why more people don't do what he did and he said "nobody wants to get rich slow."
@supercutebutt Buffett just proved my point. Average people won’t put in the time or effort to be hired to the executive level.
That's not what he was saying. Buffett made his fortune investing in stocks. He did it by being disciplined and showing patience. Anybody can do it. But most people lack discipline and patience. :)
If you work for Amazon, Facebook, Google, Oracle, Microsoft, yes it is possible if you survive the cut-throat culture there for a few years.
Yes, but you need to be ranking in at least a net of 200,000 a year.
False.
@supercutebutt: Ok..
Of course it's possible. I'm living proof. You do have to be persistent and be s little fortunate as well though.
I suppose it is possible. But I turned 86K to 1.7M in 5 years becoming self employeed.
