Is anyone sick and tired of working for the freaking man?

It’s like they don’t want you to move up. Lateral move after lateral move... “Oh you’re getting good where you are? Where you might want to actually deserve and want a raise for your hard work? Here! Here’s a different team and entirely different discipline where you have to start fresh from the bottom again!” … “all while we continue to pay you the same!”

I’m so sick and tired of it. It’s a waste of time. And they wonder why people are quitting their jobs…

Staying in the same company is actually not the best strategy... the raise you get barely covers inflation, even if you advance within the company you will be underpaid. Try looking for a job somewhere else, where your years of experience will matter more.

Yup. I just hate corporate in general. It's so sticky, fake and high-maintenance. But sometimes a job is a job and you have to accept some BS in life to get results. If you're having this job and able to pay rent, have a car, feed yourself and your dog, etc. then it's better than the alternative.
