How do you pull up behind a car to park?

I'm always crooked and faar away from the curb when I do.

My driving instructor only taugt me how to parrallel park and that's obnoxious to do whenever parking.

Angle toward the curb, then pull up like until you think your going to hit the curb, then pull up a few more inches while straightening out the wheel, then finish getting as close to the car in front of you as needed.
