What do you think of people who do not work in STEM?

I believe my purpose is to protect the hearts and minds and souls of vulnerable people but my family says I’m worthless because I’m not interested in a physical career such as chemistry or accounting or computer science or medicine. Am I a cheat?

That is shitty of your family. You know we need ALL jobs so the world will work not JUST those jobs. So if you don't appreciate other jobs you better not complain when you can't get fast food, when the police don't show up or the fire department or EMS or a tow truck.

You better be able to fix your plumbing on your own. Your electrical work. Contraction... ETC ETC Now STEM jobs are also important but not the ONLY ONES

Your career should not be your identity. That’s a huge mistake. A career, even a STEM career, can be taken away through no fault of your own.
