Is breaking into writing and visual markets about talent or rapport?

I met a journeyman electrician who was as smart as a crash test dummy. He spent 4 years doing electrical work but couldnt wire up a room or a house by himself, and couldnt be a foreman very well. I can do all that with my 2 years of experience.
Sometimes successful people aren't very smart, they're just really likeable to their audience
My answer is rapport 😅 sorry i forgot to answer the question
Thanks for choosing my answer 👌👌
‘No talent or intelligence’? Thats a bit harsh
I mean no talent by mature standards, by high school standards he might be considered moderately intelligent.
I know I’d be popular if I sounded dumber but I refuse to become what I hate
I don’t want to answers because it’s a self help genre
I have a BA and he has no known degrees.
Yes because you don’t need a degree to do it, Harry Potter and the Secret are both popular books by uneducated people
One of my favourite authors didn't have a relevant qualification, became an author and whilst his material isn’t the most cerebral, his passion and drive got him to be a New York Times best seller, and I love his books because they are entertaining and he knows how to tell a story

Breaking into most industries has become much more about networking and connections than talent. But talent still helps.
You just have to get lucky
Surely God has a perfect time for everyone
