Why don't more people who plan to be stay at home parents. consider getting a degree in education to be better equipped to home school their children?

if your plan was to be a stay at home parent would it not make some since to consider a degree in education and/or early childhood development. so you could better equipped to homeschool your children or tutor local children.

also if a group of parents managed to do this and each got degrees in field education fields. they could each teach all the children from the verse families a different topic. so it would be a localized school of sorts with people you trust to teach your children life lessons. kind of like how it once was before the government and teachers unions stepped in and took control.

The purpose of home schooling isn’t always based off passion to teach, but to accommodate various issues that could be the catalyst for the choice to homeschool, such as health/mental issues, religious beliefs, no favorable schools in the area or issues at said school, like bullying and the educational system. Then all the parents getting together to teach each others kids would be school, defeating the purpose of home schooling altogether, some people don’t care to teach other peoples kids either. On top of that, going to school for such a degree is a big commitment, 4 years for undergrad. It’s hard enough taking the time to create and maintain a daily agenda for their own child (ren), so that combined with being a student themselves, along with just general household duties, and activities outside of home.. it’s not impossible but that’s exhausting.

That’s your interpretation, mine was in the perspective of already having children you decide to homeschool.
