Do immigrants find it harder to get a white-collar job in the UK?

This one's a tough one. As someone who came to the UK at 2 years of age... it's a tough one to answer without sounding like a victim. I turn to ONS (office of National statistics) when dealing with matters like this.
When comparing university graduates across all demographics and line that up with their current profession. Then it does seem to be skewed towards a particular narrative that says, "yes, clearly immigrants are not being hired at senior positions."
However I think a lot of that is cultural, for the most part the native British populous do not care much for non western cultures and aren't as flexible in conversations. As a result, they'd naturally feel more comfortable with people like them. I think the best way for immigrants that want to earn serious money in the UK, is to proceed down a self employment track. There are no hurdles in this regards and huge benefits.
Kind regards,

Are less immigrants being hired?
That's too bad.
Not indians. They're in high demand because they speak English and they're well educated. It's hard for most western countries to find immigrants who speak English and are well educated like indians.
A lot of immigrants come to those countries for welfare and asylum, so an immigrant with a degree who wants to work is going to be a valuable pick because they're pumping money into the economy.

Numerous factors come into play. For eg: international students who graduate with a high grade apply to jobs and they get selected and their employer sponsors their visa application. Might be a bit difficult for someone who moves there because of a spouse visa since employment from different countries is valued differently in the UK and so is education and qualifications.
In conclusion: as long as the experience is reputable and the education and qualifications are recognised, that will strengthen your case. Lastly, well this is an obvious one, being well versed in English.
I read somewhere that immigrants are hired less due to innate racism.
Did you find it harder to get a job?
So do you think it wasn't because of your race?
It surely was. I got a job which needed desi people since it was a desi company. But fortunately i joined the family business. So the job hunts are out of the question for me. Also, i didn't graduate with the best grade, passed with flying colours but most jobs required a higher grade as far as graduate schemes were concerned but im glad how my career is turning out to be.
So do I have a better chance if my British employer is a South Asian?
It greatly depends where they come from, skill level at that job, ability to speak, read and write English.
Also bit old fashioned saying white collar jobs.
for example a software company is often made up of both guys and girls, with either being a team leader or manager, then ethnicity, country of origin etc is also mixed.
Immigrants from which countries are hired less?
Those who don’t speak good English, not as educated, at a guess Afghanistan, Somalia, Ethiopia
Generalisation going on there as some are very well educated.
Do you think there's any discrimination based on the race?
Also, what do you think about this?

It states that minorities are being discriminated against.
Yes and?
That holds true for pretty much any country on the planet.
Employers will even when trying not to, will look at things such as other team members, history with certain countries.
Trying to get certain cultures to work with a team where Team Leader and Manager are girls 🤦
A major point about the study, you need to understand how recruitment firms work.
“Between November 2016 and December 2017, we applied to nearly 3200 jobs advertised online on a popular recruitment platform”
A recruitment firm gets a percentage of the wage of the hired person.
If a recruitment firm sends people that an employee would likely not hire, then that recruitment firm would not be used.
For example I’ve recruited various ethnicities, main thing has been very good ability at English language, I have dropped recruitment firms for sending me people that are not good at English.
Yes discrimination takes place, that’s a fact of life.
This isn't true for every country. For instance, there are white people working in India who don't even know the local language.
There will obviously be exceptions.
It does happen in every country, humans are like that
No sir. Those are not exceptions. That is how it is. Any white person can easily get a job in India.
So a white person who only speaks Albanian would not be discriminated against.
Yeah whatever
No white person is discriminated against in India. Even Indians face more racism if they go to a different state.
Also it seems to be easier to get low paid jobs if you're an Indian living outside India.
It’s also pretty easy getting high paid software jobs.
No. That really depends on your skill sets, experience and which field you work in. Its pretty same for the citizens of UK i suppose. But their first preference would be a UK citizen. But if you have the skills and meet their requirements, chances are more of you being hired
I guessed that because I've been reading some articles about it and they say that a non-white person will have a harder time.
What do you think about this?

It states that there's discrimination.
I don't think there's discrimination against Indians in India.
But white people can easily get a job in India.

There seems to be no discrimination whatsoever against white people.
Yeah if they have better work ethics, skills and work experience. Also there's another aspect that comes into play, that is the level of education and where you got your education. Foreign universities have better education , no doubt. Suppose i got my masters from Oxford and a white man gets his master from some mediocre university in UK. Chances are much higher for me to get a job in India rather than a white man. Also my chances would be much higher in UK too, because of the exposure and skill sets i have gained during those years of study. There are many deciding factors
According to this study

, even the ones born in the UK can't get jobs. They have a similar education and sometimes even better skills.
I think it's a document that you need to download.

Well, America‘s most famous Indian, Apu, works in a supermarket. So, there is that… 🤔
Exactly, Indians find it easier to get low paid jobs.
No. Corporate America now openly discriminates against white males and will hire as many immigrants as possible, regardless of their qualifications.
Probably, but it's also likely easier if they're a native English speaker, and even more likely if they're a citizen of the Commonwealth.
With how America is you could become a politician just based or your race as long as your left leaning.
I don't think so
I guess yes.
