How old were you when you started earning?

12 or 13, I started off by walking beans. Some people won't be familiar with that. Farmers grow soybeans. You're just basically walking down a bean field, the rose are a quarter to a half mile long and You're cutting the weeds out. Usually you have four rows to the right and four rows to the left. Hot muddy work. I've also detassled the corn. Which entails walking down cornfields, pulling the tassels out of the top of the corn. At 14 I went and worked at a salvage yard. Pulling parts off of cars. Driving a wrecker, even though I wasn't even legal to drive
Before 10 - picked up scrap metals and cardboards- sold for some snack changes
11 - worked at my uncles restaurant, he paid me. I don’t remember how much he paid me.
13 - 15 or 16. Baby sat (cash) worked in some factory folding table clothes. Don’t recall how I was paid.
16 - supermarket - $3.65 and hour. Kinda like first “real” job
18 - office clerk
19 - language teacher - $9 an hour. Was consider a lot
20-22 retail
22 - my career (part time while finishing college) - starting salary was $24k
23 - full time - $38k
same job since then. My salary is much higher now.
A "real" actual job? 15
But before then used to make pretty good money when I was 13-14 babysitting, especially the couple next door that were going through a divorce, she'd pay me twenty to stay with the kids till he got off work at 11 so she could "go out". He'd come home, pissed that she was out, and pay me another $20 to stay until she got home so he could go out... I was making $40 a night till my mom put a stop to it cuz most times it was a school night for me.. But that was good money back then lol
Around 16 years I worked for a few weeks in a supermarket. I started really earning a living at 19 years of age at the Belgian Railway. Many things happened afterwards and I ended up the last 30 years to earn a living as an independant craftsman.
