Should I report these teachers or keep my mouth shut?

I recently started working as a primary school teaching assistant. It's literally only been a week and abit since I started and things have already gotten absolutely shocking

I love working with the children, they are so sweet and fun to be around but the teachers are cruel, selfish and greedy.

I mainly help a little girl with learning disabilities and she's really shy and struggles to fit in with the other children and the teachers do not help. They don't involve her in any of the lessons and ignore her.

Most the time they get me to do one to ones with her outside the classroom which pretty much consists of giving her a colouring book. I eventually said something to the teacher who was meant to be teaching her. I said " don't you think I could actually teach her something important or we could keep her in the class sometimes.

This little girl is not stupid at all and is actually extremely bright but the teachers don't see it that way. The teacher replied "I just don't think we will get anywhere with her, she's not gonna have a easy life in the future being the way she is so she might as well enjoy herself whilst she can, plus it would be a distraction to the rest of the class" I honestly wanted to slap the teacher there and then, all they see is her disabilities as a burden.

stormed out the class room holding this little girls hand and I took her to the library and told her to pick a book. We spent hours reading that day and I could really see her starting to come out of her shell. Then a teacher comes along and says "what are you doing, you know these books are not for her reading age?" And grabbed the book away from her. I said "well she's reading them just fine with me so I guess there's no issue". The teacher rolled her eyes and told her she had to go for lunch.

This is not the only issue I've had with these teachers. We have a collection this month for a food bank for all the children to put in. As we were cleaning up the class rooms I see the teachers coming in and taking food from the donation box. I asked what they were doing they said "you don't really think this is going to the food bank right?, We keep the carp stuff but anything worth taking is ours, we need it more". Then the proceeded to encourage me to do the same.

You can. I feel like they are being very negative. You are doing an amazing job with her, by being patient, kind and loving. Kids are very smart and it's sad to hear that she isn't getting treated like the rest. You could also try recording these conversations before you say anything. Also kids need people to breathe life into them and they are doing the apposite

Report it to the education authority with evidence

N. b. ironically my mother was the bane of my teachers' existances, for a women who's less than 5ft tall and often makes the church mouse look brash, she has a nack for obliterating teachers from making them cry to when one of them had an issue with management he petitioned my mother to write to the authority on his departments behalf... the street cred of being able to say my mother made so and so cry was hilarious alone

The nice thing about bringing new hires on is their new perspective. That's a reason companies should bring on diverse hires with different backgrounds. Based off this it seems it is acceptable from the other teachers to act this way. Clearly, from someone with a different perspective it isn't, and that's a good thing. I think it should be reported. Their lack of ability and laziness shouldn't be acceptable.
