In this instance, I'm not talking about conservatives vs. liberals. I'm talking about hierarchies, cliques, sitting at specific tables, being pigeonholed due to your socioeconomic background, etc... In high school, I felt held back because I was considered IEP despite having a 3.3 GPA. while the jocks, cheerleaders, and well-off names in my town were the ones taking honors or ap classes. Looking back almost twenty years later, since I was a freshman in high school, I am now an honors student in my online college classes.

we lived in a more real world... less Teenage Drama TV show
I was among tops of the class, lead sports teams... went to parties, would hang out with the popular ones, the outcasts... met people from "any club" and what not
and this, did not make me special at all... because many other were the same in most things, we were not divided really... sure, you had more affinity with your small circle but at the end of the day, everyone connected with most people if they got along.. or they just ignored each other if they didn't get along
also won a funny award for "Most Likely To Burn Down The Entire School (with everyone still in it)" but that was just a joke, due to my musical inclinations... lol

So I just deleted a super long text because I didn't Now how to really describe it. I try to make it shorter: We didn't have these typical cliques but you could find people that would fit the describtion of a jock, nerd, etc. Maybe even a group arround them but they werent sealed off from the rest. I was good friends with the typical nerdy ones but also with the popular party kids.
I was bullied because I was insecure and viewed as an easy target. It didn't last long because people would always insult the people who did it. But there were times where the bullying would begin.

I stayed with the unpopular kids most of the time because that’s where the bullies liked to go.
