What do I do? Any adivce?

I'm sad (not to mention frustrated and disheartend). I need a job and I've been applying EVERYWHERE, even to jobs/careers that I think are below me and my skill set. I just turned 39 and if not for my parents letting me live in their house for free, I'd be out there, homeless cold and sick, probably maybe even dead. But do the employers or hiring managers care? ! Nope! They don't! Every time I apply (either on Indeed, or some other website, maybe the company website iteslf or handshake, etc.), I see that they look at my resume online, but they pass it over. Or either that or I don't even get passed the interview stage! I know I don't smell bad. I am MATURED and professional when I interview. I am even willing to get the help of people that offer such things like resume reviews, moch interviews, etc. etc. but still no luck! I don't know what I am doing wrong and I am getting desparate and panicked now for a while. My money is in the negative, bills keep coming, but the jobs are few and far between! Please help. What did you guys do in this situation or what would you do?

Well, in the immediate term, are you healthy enough for plasma donation? It's not a good return of money for the time investment, but if you need cash NOW, it's one of the few reliable ways to get money quickly.

Going a bit further, unless your employment history or driving record is truly abysmal, pretty much every school bus company is hiring, and most will even train you to get your CDL.

Amazon and Walmart will hire anyone, so I hear

I've worked at Walmart, I don't like them. They were VERY strict with their points system and let me go just because of a few tardiness/lateness I had. No thanks.

Or get your CNA license, and you can get a job pretty much anywhere hiring CNAs
