How hard is it to own more than one business?

I decided to launch a business today, I have multiple ideas but will start with the easiest one. Right now, I’m interfacing with investors to see if I can get start up money for my business. I plan on going public in 1-6 months.

It depends on the involvement, my friend in exotic rentals has 2 plus the deals he cuts his teeth on

He barely touches the wholesalers but the exotics he's in the office most days
