I would like to go into academia because I am 'books smart', I like the flexibile laid-back schedule and the idea that you work for your achievements, not someone else's. However, I can't work in my hometown because my dad is the dean of the faculty I studied at and being an employee at the faculty would be illegal. Otherwise, I would have to move abroad because universities have permanent-contract employees and hire once in 10 years. I did have some 9 to 5 jobs, but I don't like working for someone who is bossy, in the same office every day, without any flexibility. I don't have any business skills and I don't even know what I could start with, but I like the idea of flexibility and working only for yourself and your own achievements.

Dude that's a tough spot to be in for sure. None of those options really sound all that appealing based on what you said you want. Here's what I would do:
- Academia would probably be coolest long term since you're into books and learning, but moving abroad is a big commitment.
- 9-5 office life does not sound like it'd make you happy if you want freedom and flexibility. Those jobs can really suck the soul outta you.
- Starting a business with no experience sounds super risky too. Way easier said than done.
My advice would be to try and combine a couple things somehow if you can. Here are some ideas:
- Could you do some part-time online teaching or private tutoring on the side for extra cash and flexibility?
- Look at online certs or programs that could lead to freelance work you can do remotely. Something related to your studies.
- Intern or assistant at a startup to get business skills while keeping options open. Learn from them.
- Take a risk on a side business idea you have even if small, to experiment with entrepreneurship.
A mix like that could give you the flexibility and learning you want while still having some income coming in steady. Just my two cents, man! Hope it gives you some different angles to think about.
a, choose the one "least objectionable" least annoying like annoying but less than other two. b, if all same annoying, then assign numbers to each: acedamia 1,2 or 9-5 job assign 3,4 or business 5,6 then roll a dice and based on the number go to that one since all are annoying anyway, so grab for income until finding a pleasant job.
