Jordan Peterson says 98% of people have jobs and 2% of people have careers cause if your job was interesting enough for you to do it for free, it would not be a job so 98% of people hate their jobs and work cause they want money.
And then my friend from school says that if you want something and work for it, you will get what you want.
He wrote musicals and plays in Nigeria and worked as a private educator after coming to Canada and he filmed a religious movie too. No idea what he does now since moving to BC but the internet says he is worth over 6,000,000.

Both are kind of right. You don’t need to like something to be good at it and win in it. Many champions dont like fighting for example but are the best at what they do. Intent wanting and action is more powerful than just doing what you like. Doing what you like is just easier to win because you need less discipline. So if your goal is financial success it not always right to fallow the advice of so what you like because you might never reach the financial success. If you like investigating crime how is that going to make you rich. Only way is to become lucrative private investigator or make a show that isn’t really what you want to do.
They don't want money, they NEED money. They have bills to pay and need to put food on the table. People take whatever jobs are available to them in their area and few can take the risk of pulling out of employment to gamble on writing a book unless they're already rich.
