My first job was the best one, I was 22 when I quit and they threw 2 huge parties for me, for two weeks prior to my departure.
They each wrote letters on tiny notes for me to open when I’d leave.
And put it in a beautiful little bottle.
The last day, they took me to go to merry go round together, because I was always saying I wanted all of us to ride it together.
It was really sweet.
That last night we were dancing on the streets, running and singing in the rain, not caring about anything and I felt really loved and happy.
And then months later, some stranger people added me on social media, telling me they are my coworker’s new coworkers and they’ve heard so many epic stories of me that they wanted to know me too.
That meant, my old coworkers at work were still talking about me fondly and recalling me very often even years after I left. That was sweet.
I just randomly remembered it and felt happy.
