What’s the biggest tip that you’ve made as a waiter/waitress?

Back in college I made $350 (after split tips) for a really big privately catered event. That and one other holiday event like that one paid for all my books and student fees the following semester.
Oh my goodness wow! That must’ve been so nice! I hope I can get a tip like that, especially when college starts soon for me in the fall
That must’ve felt amazing after working for cheap for so long! I’m glad some good fortune went your way 😊
Aw thank you! 😊 I’m feeling nervous and excited all at the same time for sure
Some places put limits on how much you can receive in tips. Not sure about Denny’s but I’m assuming it’s common to have maximum tipping amounts.

I've never been a server. But (adjusted for inflation) I got around $60 for delivering one pizza. That was back when delivery people didn't usually get tipped at all. That one tip was about what I usually got in an entire evening.
not worked at service like that before...
but once I collected tips (well, maybe a couple of times) after singing at the bus, lmfao... I think I got like five dollars in total, or something like that... lmao
did it just for the memes
Life’s all about having fun like that 😆
definitely so (=
When I was in College I worked as a hostess in a local nightclub, I had to wear Black and White, so I usually wore a Black miniskirt, heels and a White blouse. We used to get a lot of pro athletes and high rollers, one night these 3 guys came in and were chatting me up pretty good, and I was enjoying it a bit. So one of the guys tells me he'll give me $1,000 for my bra, and I laughed it off. A couple minutes later I'm walking by their table on my way back to my podium, the guy stops me again and the other 2 guys tell me they'll match his offer. Pretty tough to turn down $3,000 to just humor a few guys, so I went to the ladies room, took off my bra, and went out and gave it to them. Pretty empowering moment really, I think I enjoyed it as much as they did.
In cash, £20
Other than that plenty of drinks, life/tax/investment advice, wrist time with some beautiful watches, a seat in a Koenigsegg and a ride home in a Royce
I don't think a girlfriend, friendships, skills or scars can be classified as tips
A guy gave me 100 dollars once. He was drunk and thought it would make me go home with him. It did not lol
Maybe he should’ve thrown another dollar in to change your mind 😆 But seriously, that’s ridiculous lol
I once had a job delivering pizzas, I always did something that apparently not many delivery drivers do and that is give a heads up curtesy call the customer of my ETA.
This one elderly couple said they couldn’t walk outside to the gate and asked me to bring it to their apartment unit, so I did and the man gave me 100$ for being helpful.
For Christmas at a diner, I left $20 for a $12 meal
That was very kind of you! I’m sure it made them happier during the holidays 😊
Never been a waiter, but I if I was probably average lol
1-2 euros. Though tipping in my country isn’t the regular. Ones who tip tend to Americans and Canadians.
It depends on the price of the meal but I’ve left good tips because I’ve received free drinks and food before
$50 and boy did i need it!!
I feel you, sometimes it’s hard being in a rough spot.
It saved my rent that month. Ill forever remember the table of 22 europeans whi left me $0 becuz they didn't know usa American customs. I had to borrow $ to eat that week
$106.75 It was a blessing full on.
That’s great 😊
I’ve never tipped.
It was $100
$20 dollars
