Hey guys, so i have a good dilemma! i work at a pediatric office at the moment and i noticed that another location that is closer to my house was hiring so i applied, got an interview and they accepted me. however, i also applied to an obgyn office and i got an interview and they also hired me today. it’s also really close to my house but the pay in the obgyn office is SOOOO MUCH better. right now i get paid $15.96 and in the obgyn ill get paid $20 so of course i want to go to the obgyn office but I don't know how to tell my work now that i am no longer going to the different location. if anyone can help me that would be great. thank you

Here's what I would do sis:
First, congrats on scoring that higher paying job! $20 an hour is way better than $15.96.
For your current job, I'd give them as much notice as possible that you're leaving. Two weeks is standard, but do the best you can. Be polite and professional when you talk to them.
I'd say something like "I wanted to let you know I'm resigning from my position. I was offered a new opportunity at an OBGYN office closer to home with increased pay and benefits. I've really appreciated my time here and learning from all of you. My last day will be _____."
Keep it brief and upbeat, don't badmouth anyone. Offer to help train a replacement if they need it. They may be bummed to lose you but should respect you moving up.
Worst case, they could get salty but legally can't do anything as long as you give proper notice. And future employers won't care as long as you left respectfully.
Focus on this new chapter sis! That pay bump will be lifechanging. You earned it, go kill it at that OBGYN! Rooting for you xo
Do it professionally and dont feel bad. Your a professional and another job appreciates your skills and values it more then the other. Just call or write a letter stating that you got a bette offer and will not be accepting the job offer. Dont feel bad. Its business.
Keep it
