Am I too old for Ausbildung?

I am turning 26 years old, and I recently learned about the Ausbildung program. I don't understand why no one talks about this program, I'm so angry that I didn't know about it at the age of 18. Am I too old to start learning German for this program?

You could look into it, call someone, ask if there’s an age limit or academic requirement to enroll

One of my friends immigrated to Canada at the age of 14, without knowing a single word of English and by grade 12 at the age of 17, he was getting straight A's. He wanted to go to dental school but his mark was 3% lower than the cut off to get into dental school due to health issues in University.

Ausbildung/apprenticeship is usually for people after high school (15-19). There are exceptions but why would a company employ an older person that doesn’t speak the language?
