Rejected from 5 call center jobs. What is going on?

I have 5 years of experience working in call centers. I've been outright rejected 5 times over the last week. Every return saying that my candidature wasn't retained. I didn't even get a single interview.

Is this some kind of joke?

I'm guessing you have too much experience. People who run call centers prefer hiring inexperienced people whom they can train to do exactly what they are told to do, nothing more. Your experience may make that difficult. Why you left the previous job could also be a red flag.

Off the record. - they're not that excellent to work at when "it's more pleasant being the customer, than being the service worker" - and it's a lot of pressure on the shoulders. You know.
They'll blame you, any day of the week, over blaming the customer ;)
