I've never heard of anyone being against bi-weekly pay. But I could see someone who has gotten weekly pay for a long time needing to get used to it.
As for financially irresponsible, that applies to most people in the sense that most people suck pretty badly at saving and investing.
A ton of people are against biweekly pay. I'm shocked you say you've never heard of it. Maybe that's just a generational thing
It's not generational because most jobs entail working with people across the spectrum. Weekly pay isn't even all that common once you get away from lower paying jobs. Bi-weekly is the most common pay period.
I know that lol, because it involves the least amount of time and costs for the company. The level of salary isn't really relevant in that equation. There's jobs that pay $19 an hour that pay out biweekly, and jobs that pay over 100k per year that will pay out weekly. How big the company is and the type of industry it is plays a bigger role in that.
I worked at a place where the engineers were paid monthly. I was an hourly employee and was paid. Sometimes one of the engineers would ask me for a loan at the end of the month,
Almost all people in Europe get paid monthly. I fail to see the potential problem?
Agreed I've always been paid monthly by in the restaurant and by the company
