For my money - most modern games lack the storyline and good game play, they opt for flashy and fancy graphics, looks good but plays booring or crappy.

I am probably not in the mainstream, but i have never understood the "charm" of videogames. I always thought that the game of real life was always more fun...
It didn't lost their charm. It just changed. I'm sure kid these day love it. And then they grow up and complain how gaming has changed and repeat the cycle.
I am 16, and I've played video games pretty hardcore (like 4-5+ hours a day usually) and they haven't lost any charm yet. It may just be a strong hobby with me 😂😅
Video games might lose their charm but my girlfriend Paola never loses her charm. She is always glowing and has a smile on her face. Every time I see her I fall in love with her all over again

I'll be an old fart and say that things have been going downhill ever since Doom :)
Very true... higher development costs and microtransactions have sapped the life and quality out of games these days.

I think that there are still plenty of games that still have a lot of charm, it's just that the gems take more effort to find now.
try the shantae series or the pokemon mystery dungeon games. (but not gates to infinity. it was terrible. play the first two games first.)

The problem with video games nowadays is they're increasingly just mindless killing and not many have good stories anymore.
I agree though I don't actually play much anymore now it's mostly short f2p games anyway the paid ones just aren't any more enjoyable.
To be able to agree with you, I'd actually have to commit to playing the many unplayed/unconcluded games I never did.
Any advice is welcome. (:
Ahhh i miss video games witha dialogue of witty banter and innuendos
The only thing that ruined video games is the internet.
Someday someone will write a post about being nostalgic over playing Overwatch and Skyrim. Games change, gamers don't.

Too true. I miss Animal crossing. Gamecube especially.
there are a lot of great games being released, you just are not looking in the right places. Instead of looking at major ads for games, dig deeper.

And then you'll wait a decade later to claim that games a decade ago were amazing.
When people get older, their wants and likes change.
It sounds interesting.
