I’m not really a fan of it, generally. I find it hard to relate to anything “country”, just because where I’m from couldn’t possibly be any less country, haha, I just don’t have the right vibe to mesh with it, nor it with me. Good tunes are good tunes, so I try not to hate anything categorically, but I think there’s some quality to country that is essential to it being country that just doesn’t work for me. Like I don’t like most seafood because fish has a fishy aftertaste... it’s supposed to, that’s why it’s fish, but that’s just what I don’t like about it, if that analogy makes sense. I do like a lot of Willie Nelson, but that also might be because Willie is the man, period, lmao. I like some Johnny Cash too. I guess maybe I can get into a handful of songs that would probably be filed under “classic outlaw country.” I think what I really DON’T like is “modern stadium country.” I tried to check out this guy Eric Church, I hear a lot of buzz about him, and it seems like dudes who aren’t even country themselves get down with him. But it just didn’t do it for me, and I know he’s wildly popular, so at what point is it safe to say that I just generally don’t like country, with precious few exceptions? My ears and mind are open, but I think I’m really just not built for country the way it seems a lot of people aren’t built for rap, haha.

I think I like it, it depends on which types of country music
For me, these artists stand out as some of my favorites
Growing up in Calgary, I was always surrounded by country music. Its our city's anthem, like our biggest casino and nightclub is Cowboys.
Sometimes Im in the mood for it, but most of the time I can't stand it. It all sounds the same to me. BUT, if I want to go out and have a fun night with girlfriends, I love a good line-dance at Ranchmans, especially when I can ride the mechanical bull. :)
Country Music ain't my "cup of tea" but I have enjoyed listening to songs from Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Carrie Underwood, LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, The Judds and even the country songs of the the 'King of Rock & Roll' himself, Elvis Presley.

I really liked the country music of the early 1970s because I was a square dancer/round dancer/clogger at the time. It was a wonderful way of making contact with others and being social. There was a lot of positive in the concept, "square dancers do it in groups of 8."
I would agree that country music got contaminated by progress in other forms of music. The same can be said of all forms of music from the first stick-and-hollow-log drumming on. Things change. Tastes change. And music changes. I'm not going to say any genre of music is perfect, and some music is downright bad. That's my opinion, and it differs from the opinion of others. It is those differences that keep music evolving and developing, and overall I think that's a good thing.I like country music from the early days until now. My favorite are the 1990s.

Toby Keith - Should've Been A CowboyI’m fine with country but I don’t go out of my way to listen to it. Maybe that will change. My first CD was Shania Twain. I think I was about 9 or 10 at the time. I also like that Stone Temple Pilots has some country influence and I listen to them a lot.
I like some sub-genres of country because basically its a kind of folk music, and I hear folk every day
A person needs a lot of skill to play a banjo like country bands do... plus, country music invented a unique instrument made of several different instrument parts...
I can't remember tge englush name of it (in german we call it a "stampfe", or in slang a "stompfm")
Still pretty expensive instruments with almost no one who can explain how to play it...I love some of it but mostly older country. Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Merl Haggard, Johnny Cash. It's down to earth. <3
I used to hate it but after hearing a couple of love songs I actually kinda like it now. Not to the point where I know artists and stuff but It’s not bad like I thought it would be
It good.
I liked a few songs where I could learn and feel something new, like "Coal Miners Daughter", Johnny Cash.
But most of it... I'm glad they built radios with off buttons. All i know is that country music performers get a lot of supports on singing competitions
Yes most of those country singing contestants perform oldee country songs
The classics
Says a lotI think a lot of it seems based on a world that never existed but as well as this I've the way songs tell a story and certain artistes are masters and mistresses of human emotions in love affairs and the songs often involve thoughts about God which are simple and commendable. I'm not sure that the music constitutes the original folk music of America... it has moved in a broad sweep away from its roots.
The country music I like is Jonny Cash
"I fell in to a burning ring of fire.
I went down down down and the flames went higher"I would agree country was definitely the best in the early mid 90s
I like country music from the fifties up to the early 2000’s, as well as some of today’s country. Not a fan of the country rap stuff though
I like it, it's one of the main things I listen to. That being said there are country artists I don't like and there are ones I do like. Every genre has bad ones and good ones.
I grew up to my dad always playing John Denver songs. I like country music, but I seldom listen to it
Personally, I'm not a country music fan which sucks when living in south TX. There are a few country songs I actually enjoy but it's only a handful.
Not all country music is tractor rap, you do have songs like this
https://www.youtube.com/embed/o4Yzj-m_SBkI haven’t been exposed to it very much since I don’t have access to a radio where I live due to interference by other machines but 30 years ago I had a babysitter who always played country music and I liked dancing to it
