Same as yours. I was born and raised in India. Hindi movie songs are very popular in India. In India there is a thing that movie music was great till 90s. And there are very many people who believe that. I can understand your point of view and relate with it.
I used to really hate country music. I’m still not a fan of it, but I’ve grown a lot more tolerant of it over the decades, as long as it’s not too twangy.

Yup. "Prime Country" on SiriusFM channel 58 is a great example! 80's, 90's. Strait, AJ, Garth, Reba, Twain, Keith, etc. "Modern" CW jumped the shark and drowned.
It was good until the late 1990s. Today’s singers are wannabe rap “talkers” with little talent and no appreciation for tradition. I refuse to listen to it.
It's not really country these days. It stopped being true country late 90's to early 2000's. Today is mostly pop garbage and other garbage they try to call country. A lot of the new stuff you can't even understand

Love Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn... Dolly Pardon, Kenny Rogers, Willy Nelson, etc... I'm more old school country.
It's SO GOOD.
I am developing my passion for it.

Yeah, I like some older country music but no new country
Yeah I like real country songs but most new songs are just pop music with flannel shirts and cowboy hats
Like most other forms of music. Some of it I like then other songs not so much.

Some older pieces are interesting because of lyrics.

I like it for the most part.
I'm not a fan of nasally vocals tho.
And unfortunately it's really common in country, bluegrass and Irish music. All of which I'd love, if they didn't sing like Mandark from Dexter's Lab
It’s ok I guess but I can see why people like it. Some are good but it’s not my go to genre.
I believe it’s a necessity as a lot of other genres. It speaks to the struggle of a lot of poverty stricken whites and its other guest in that genre.
Country music is not bad there is some great artist in that genre
Yeah I think your right mid 90s was the last good country music look at garth brooks even people who don't like country listen to him.
I like any music that tells a story which includes some country.
I love country, and like you, my interest in it ended about 1992. My favorite era of country is 70s Outlaw music.
