What do you think of people doing that?

I like movies. I like going to movies. When I watch movies, I like to get totally absorbed into the movie and the story.
If someone starts clapping, it brings me back into reality...
You can clap all you want when the credits roll, but so help me, if you clap during the movie I'll duct tape your hands to your face...
I'm stealing that: duct tape your hands to your face!š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤Ŗšš
@Guardian45 all yours!!
Very generous lol
Eww doing that to a still screen imagine. Can safely say i would hate that, and have never seen such annoying people. That's like people who talk at there Tv, it's not a thing that can hear you smh.
Also to a marvel film lmao. Tbf tho that don't shock me as much I do feel like them films are liked by quite a lot of annoying people. Dc and Marvel hotspots for annoying behaviour.
Honestly I think itās kind of silly only cuz the Actors on the screen canāt hear them clapping so they are pretty much clapping to nothing lol And the other people attending the movie donāt give 2 shits if you liked the movie or not so I never really understood it but I keep my mouth shut and Exit the theater lol
It annoyed me during one film but omg i wouldve adored seeing it during this film. I was sadly in a quiet theater. Plus someone took our paid seats so we had to sit on the second row and that pissed me off having to bend our necks looking up at the big screen.
You should have made them move
@Guardian45 i wanted to but at the same
Time, they mightve coughed all over the seat i just let it go

I get it that they want to express their approval of a movie scene, the actors or the whole movie in general. However, what good will that do since those involved in the making of the movie aren't there to appreciate the gesture of compliments. All they'll get are rolling eyes and/or stares of disapproval from annoyed movie-goers.
I donāt like people doing that during the movie. If itās the end, whatever.
There was one point in the movie where I got super excited and I gasped really loud. Oops. But sometimes you canāt help it.
Also, that movie left me with like 399ish questions!!
I'm not into that.
The last time I heard clapping was at the end of the first Avengers movie.
I was sitting there waiting for the movie to end, and when they stood up and clapped I kinda thought the movie was a piece of shit, and who are they clapping to?
Only time I've ever experienced this was during Avengers EndGame during the final fight when a certain character says a very famous line from the comics finally.
I actually thought it was kinda cool. Shows the passion people have for the series.
Have you ever been on a flight where people clap when the plane lands? I have probably been on more flights than anyone where that happened.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Xk5MCK24L0cWhen you think you're going to die and then you don't.
@EnglishEuropean Haha! I get it. I have flown around a lot of different nations overseas. And I do not have a problem with it. I even join in.
I often wonder if they clap at those scenes in the privacy of their own home, it is distracting to me as often they will still be clapping when the next part starts and now I missed what they were saying.
I've probably been to the movies 10 times my whole life so I don't even know if people clap or not I think it's very quiet actually they don't even like you looking at your cell phone.
It's dumb. I've never encountered it outside of North America, and yes, if you tried it over here, someone would not-so-politely request that you please stop.
I mean, it's annoying but wth is the point of doing that. if you enjoy the scene, keep it to yourself, not everyone needs to know...
I don't see what's the point of doing that. The actors and everyone who was involved in the making of the movie won't be there to hear them.
I kinda don't like it as a silence lover. I hate unnecessary sounds. Clapping sounds kinda cover the dialogues so I can't hear them better.
If she's a hot brown hair / brown eyes or blonde hair / blue eyes
she clap her hands around me hahaha gotta love them girls
maybe if I'm lucky one will be sitting alone and come sit on my lap
I hate it... the actors can't here you. There's no need for it. It's a movie, not a play.
I don't see the point. The actors and director aren't there to praise. Cheering whatever, but clapping who are you clapping for xD
You never gave anyone the clap?
@EnglishEuropean Of course I have. For example someone tells a story, someone gives a good presentation, a demonstration, etc... cause in all cases here the person is there with me in person. I could be clapping for let's say Captain America but he isn't here with us when we're watching a movie, he's probably somewhere enjoying a drink in a mansion
Good point.
@EnglishEuropean. RUDE!š¤£š¤Ŗ
Itās cool when people clap at movies loll I have no problem with it
It doesn't happen over here. You'd be kicked out and rightly so.
I guess if it bothers you, you donāt go to the theater?
Well here on planet earth when Iāve went to the movie theaters to see a movie people have clapped at the end of the movie cause they thought it was freaking good
I'd like to have that happen. I've never seen it happen. I find it strange, but I wouldn't mind it!
I remember when Star Trek: The Movie came out and the audience went wild when Captain Kirk first appeared coming off the shuttle craft.
It's part of the live theatre experience, like people crunching popcorn or kicking the back of your seat.
Eh. Movies have an emotional pull. Itās fine. I prob wonāt go back to a theater again after Covidā¦
I don't mind it as long as it's very brief.
I want to clap their cheeks
Pardone?
that's why I don't go to the movies... lol
It doesnāt bother me. Itās kinda cute, actually.
Oh boy I understood that reference so I clapped!
If it deserved clapping, I'd clap too
I dont mind it it means good movie
It's weird
It's cool I guess.
Cool one time but dont keep doing it
I donāt mind it.
Itās cool
What's the point?
Ikr?
